Do you have an interest in encaustic painting but don’t know where to begin?  We can help.  Well, our resident artist and professional encaustic painter, Kathryn Bevier can explain the medium to you in her new YouTube video.

Take a peek into a working encaustic studio, as Kathryn gives you an overview of what materials are essential in order to start working in wax paint as well as some of the basics of encaustic painting.

This is a fairly short video clip where she is actually sitting down, looking directly at the camera, and giving you some of her personal input on the medium.  This is a great introduction for novices and for those who are looking to dabble in encaustic painting & just need that little push into the right direction.  It was also shot completely in a wideangle lens for a unique look!
