Well, we got a little overexcited when it came to filming our new Youtube video and ending up shooting a lot of footage!  However, lucky for you, this means we were able to create a unique, 3-part video series!  The video series focuses on how to use an encaustic flow pen.

In fact, Video I (Part I) features mainly flow pen techniques.  Then in Video 2 (Part II) you learn about applying glazes after completing your flow pen work.  Finally, in Video 3 (Part III) we finished off the series with a some advice on how to scrape an encaustic painting without losing your precious line work.
If you watch all three videos in a row, you will see our resident encaustic artist, Kathryn Bevier demonstrate these helpful techniques on a painting from start to finish.

All along the way, Kathryn once again gives her personal painting advice and product tips relating to the encaustic tool in a similiar way as in her slotted brush video posted earlier this month.

It is a great video series for those who are beginners to the encaustic medium and for those who simply have an interest in flow pen techniques.  You can learn how to clean and use the flow pen efficiently as well as how to maintain your work as you continue on with your creativity with the glazing and scraping options.
