The Cascade Art Center, which houses all of our art classes and workshops, is thrilled to announce that we will be holding a local gallery showcase featuring our students’ artwork to help kickoff the Fall 2008 gallery season!
Working in conjunction with First Friday, we hope that we can help bring attention to some of our local talent here in Rochester, NY. The gallery showcase will exhibit work developed by our valued patrons of the Cascade Art Center as well as work created by the artists affiliated with Rochester Art Supply, Inc.
Since our classes range from colored pencil drawings to printmaking to pastels to watercolors to you-name-it, the variety of artwork on display is a reflection of those dedicated to studying their passion for art. If you are in the area, be sure to check it out!
This showcase is a week long event, running from September 5th until the 10th with an opening reception on Friday the 5th from 6-9pm. During our last First Friday event, featuring the amazing metal work of Blake Terzini, our opening reception had such a great turn out of local supporters that we highly recommend you try to stop in this time around for the opening reception. It is sure to be an exciting celebration.
The Cascade Art Center holds various artist workshops throughout the year, bringing in guest instructors from all over the world to help expose artists to different media and techniques. Artists enjoy informative discussions, art demonstrations, and often receive personal advice as they enjoy studio time with these instructors. We are excited to finally have a chance to showcase some of our students' hard work!
The Cascade Art Center is located in Rochester Art Supply, Inc at 150 W Main St in the Historic Cascade district of downtown Rochester. We are opened Monday through Friday 8 am to 5:30pm, and Saturday from 9am- 3pm. Please contact us directly, at 585-546-6509, with questions regarding the show.
